Love classic and timeless over trendy and flashy, and know that sometimes the smallest moments create the most lasting impact of joy, Christine Ott is your photographer.
Born and raised in Nebraska, Christine came to Ohio in 2010. Nine years, a husband and one dog later, she is working with the beautiful families of North East Ohio and stamping their cherished moments in time, frame by frame. She knows it's more than f-stops and shutter speeds when working with new parents, sleeping babies and active children. It's about the connection she makes with you, and the connections you already have with your loved ones.
Christine has been working with children and families for over eight years and opened COP in 2014. It is with great care that she comes into her clients lives as their photographer and becomes a friend.
Cherishing family in her own life, Christine has chosen a path that speaks to her heart: specializing in maternity, newborn and family photography.
Photography should be more than posed photos and flashy lights; more than simply taking pictures with your phone and keeping them digitally. At Christine Ott Photography, the smallest moments are captured in a meaningful way so that the feelings and spirit of that moment can be cherished forever.
If you're looking for a photographer who can keep things casual and light but at the same time beautiful and meaningful, you've come to the right place. I specializes in keeping you comfortable during all sessions, and makes sure to sincerely listen to your story. I have a heart for preserving memories, and wants to hear yours so she can preserve it beautifully. I hope that you cherish your photos for years to come, and that they serve as a way to preserve your special moments for years and generations to come.
A little background on me: I'm married to the most awesome tall man, Kyle. We met in college, not at the same college though, and have been together 10 years, married for almost 5. We have a crazy dog named Hansi, who we adopted as a puppy 4 years ago and soon will be expecting our first baby! Kyle and I both grew up in German households and thus are very invested in our German heritage, so much so that we vacation there about every two years and have been involved in German dance groups since we could walk. If it sounds crazy and fun, it is! We are totally those people wearing Lederhosen and Dirndls, but legit pieces straight from the homeland.
With that, let's talk about my name. It is pronounced like "Christina", (with an A), but spelled like "Christine". This too takes us back to the German component. Once upon a time when I had free-time I loved to paint and read stacks of books and even write occasionally. These days I'm pretty happy if I have time to catch an episode of something on my Roku. We love to travel and spend time with our friends, both near and far and somehow now with a baby on the way I'm finding home to be lovelier and lovelier. Isn't that called nesting?
Onto photography...my Oma, (grandmother), instilled in me the importance of what a photograph means; what it does for you; how it preserves ties to the past and moments. She always had a camera in our faces, was constantly filling albums and pulling out those from the "olden days" to show us. This crept into my soul I'd like to think and got me started on my own road to loving photography. As many photographers tell, my hobby grew into a career and here I am today!
Now back to business...
