It is that time of year again–already–and I can’t believe it! We just wrapped up sunflower sessions, which I must say were grueling hot on some days and now booking Christmas sessions. Here we go!
History behind our Christmas Minis
How we found our home
Three years ago we knew we wanted to do Christmas sessions and started the hunt for a tree farm that would be willing to work with us. We were blessed to have found the Medina Christmas Tree Farm and meet the owner, Charles Reichheld, or “Doc”. His down-to-Earth and hardworking character has made him a joy to work along side. You immediately feel welcomed walking onto the enchanted farm.
I’ve always incorporated a charitable donation into my mini sessions and once I learned that the Medina Christmas Tree Farm was partnered with “Trees for Troops” through the Christmas Spirit Foundation, I knew it was the place for me.
What is Trees for Troops?
This program provides farm-grown Christmas Trees to American troops of all branches and their families over the holidays. They are shipped both stateside and overseas. Since its beginning in 2005, over 190,000 trees have been sent to troops and in 2016 alone over 17,000 trees were shipped. This is amazing!
Which brings us to our part in this all: with every session a tree is purchased in your name and you are given the opportunity to write your special note to the troop who will receive it this Christmas. Help us to meet our goal and purchase more trees than last year, all the while receiving beautiful family photos!
